i’ve always had a problem with how they treated katara’s abilities.

at first it looked like she was the “hard working type”, but i refuse to belive that in the time span between books, katara turn herself in to a waterbending master of the same level of benders who have been training their whole life. I feel like they made her a prodigy halfway into the series.
